Eugene Police search downtown for man who stabbed another in dispute
EUGENE, Ore. -- Eugene Police continue to search for a man involved in a stabbing incident in downtown Eugene near W. 8th and Jefferson that sent a man to the hospital.
Police say two males who knew each other got into a dispute and one of them had a knife.
The dispute escalated and the victim ended up with a stab wound.
He was taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Police say the suspect fled the scene before police arrived.
Witnesses said he ran east toward the downtown area.
Our reporters later spotted police presence at Jefferson and 19th related to the investigation.
Police said they don't believe there is a threat to the public.
A K9 unit was out searching as well.
The suspect described as a white male in shorts with no shirt, around 5'8" - 5'9".
