Eugene e-car maker bringing 3-wheeler to market
EUGENE, Ore. - Arcimoto plans to ramp up production of what the founder and CEO of the electric vehicle company calls the "Tesla for the Common Drive."
Mark Frohnmayer said the company expects to go into production late next year on the Arcimoto Generation 8 SRK, a 3-wheeled, 2-seat e-car with a 70 mile range per charge.
The basic model will retail for $11,900.
The Generation 8 SRK is the 8th prototype developed by Arcimoto since its founding 2007.
Frohnmayer said the company is looking for a 10,000 square foot facility in which to manufacture the 8 SRK.
