Boy found wandering alone in Salem, parents found
UPDATE: Deputies say they have located Hunter's parents and are investigating what happened.
SALEM, Ore. -- Marion County sheriff's deputies found a 3- or 4-year-old boy wandering by himself on the streets of Salem on Monday night.
Deputies found Hunter in the area of Lancaster and Auburn at about 10:30 p.m.
Hunter told deputies that he was on his way to the toy store and that his father was at home asleep and his mother was at work.
The boy was unable to tell deputies where he lived.
Deputies are asking the public to help locate Hunter’s parents. Anyone with information is asked to call the sheriff’s office at 503-588-5032.
