Christmas Eve: The Last-Minute Shopper's time to shine
EUGENE, Ore. - When some people think of last minute Christmas shopping, they may think of long lines, empty shelves or procrastination.
Last minute shoppers usually have a ton of reasons for showing up with time winding down, whether it be an inability to escape family or just plain laziness.
"It's the first time I haven't had my baby with me to do that," said Shantele Lemmon. "You can't shop for Santa's stocking when you have your child with you."
Sunday, however, seemed to go the last minute shopper's way.
"I thought we were going to find a lot of lines and empty shelves and stuff like that, but we pretty much got everything that we wanted," said Justice Mafot.
And if they didn't find exactly what they were looking for, there will always be something that works, so they ask not to judge them.
"Hey, last minute shoppers still find what they're looking for," said one shopper. "It always works out in the end, even if you're a last minute shopper."
