Let the facial hair flow: 'Grow Your Mo' kicks off in November
EUGENE, Ore. – The start of November means it’s time to drop the razor blades and let the “mos” grow.
Teams of men in the Eugene community are taking on a month-long facial hair challenge, and NBC 16 is joining in.
NBC 16 anchors Anthony Kustura, Kris Nation, and Alan Matthews will let their facial hair grow to support the Oregon Cancer Foundation.
The teams are profiled on growyourmo.org and will be updated each week with photos showing their progression.
Meanwhile, the public is encouraged to participate in the fundraiser by visiting the website and voting on their favorite mustaches and beards. Each vote costs $1 and all funds from the voting go to the Oregon Cancer Foundation.
The Oregon Cancer Foundation is a local non-profit that provides stop-gap financial assistance to people undergoing cancer treatment in Lane County.
You can join the fun by casting a vote, or by raising awareness with your own facial hair. We’d love to see your photos, so share them on social media.
The Grow You Mo voting comes to a close on November 30. There will be an aftershave party at Oakshire Brewing on Thursday, December 1 from 6 p.m. 9 p.m.
