7th Annual Sunday Streets welcomes hundreds to Downtown Eugene following parade
EUGENE, Ore. -- The 7th Annual Sunday Streets welcomed hundreds to downtown Eugene following the EUG Parade Sunday.
Food trucks, live music and vendors took over the downtown Eugene park blocks on Oak Avenue for Eugene Sunday Streets.
The four-hour free event is geared to welcome more families to the downtown area.
Organizers say the event is special because a lot of the activities on the park block will remain there, Monday through Friday, throughout the summer.
"Stop by in the middle of the day, grab a burrito for lunch or play chess on your lunch break," says Sunday Streets coordinator Emily Farthing, "it's really a part of this downtown revitalization that we are doing."
Farthing says if you missed Sunday's event, they'll have another Sunday Streets on River Road on September 17.
