Jennifer Lopez hosts star-studded benefit concert
Jennifer Lopez and ex-husband Marc Anthony held a star-studded telethon to raise money for those affected by the recent natural disasters to hit the Americas.
Saturday's One Voice: Somos Live! A Concert for Disaster Relief was hosted by Lopez, Anthony and her current boyfriend Alex Rodriguez.
The concert was organised by Somos Una Voz, an alliance of artists created by Lopez and Anthony, to aid victims of the hurricanes in Puerto Rico, Florida, Texas and the earthquakes in Mexico.
Funds raised from the telethon will benefit Feeding America, Save the Children, Habitat for Humanity, Unidos for Puerto Rico, United Way and UNICEF.
Lopez performed live during the star-studded telethon from an NBC soundstage in Los Angeles, alongside Demi Lovato, Maroon 5, Ricky Martin, Gwen Stefani, Stevie Wonder, Chris Martin, Jamie Foxx, Mary J. Blige, Andra Day, Maxwell and Julia Michaels. The 48-year-old also moved fans with a special performance of her hit Etunio.
Meanwhile, Anthony performed live from Miami's Marlins Park stadium along with Camila Cabello, Gente de Zona, Nicky Jam, DJ Khaled, Magic!, Nacho, Prince Royce, Romeo Santos, Alejandro Sanz, and Daddy Yankee.
Celebrities including Ciara, Kim Kardashian West, Jared Leto, Ellen DeGeneres and Selena Gomez also answered phones at the NBC studios, taking donations from members of the public.
"Much love to all the amazing artists taking part in this show to support our brothers + sisters in Puerto Rico!" rapper Common tweeted, while DeGeneres begged her Twitter followers to pick up their phones. "Incredible. I hope you're watching... #PuertoRico still very much needs our help. What can you do to help today?" she wrote alongside a link to the Somos Una Voz website.
