Elton John and his band plan another concert at Matthew Knight Arena

EUGENE, Ore. – Elton John and his band announced Monday they plan to return to Matthew Knight Arena for another performance in March.

A press release says Elton John and his band will play in Matthew Knight Arena on Saturday, March 4, 2017 at 8 p.m. as part of an 11-city concert tour that will feature several hit songs.

Tickets will go on sale November 18 at 10 a.m. They will be available to purchase at MatthewKnightArena.com.

Elton John’s band features Nigel Olsson on drums, Davey Johnstone on guitar, John Mahon on percussion, Kim Bullard on keyboards and Matt Bissonette on bass.

Elton John performed in the new Matthew Knight Arena nearly 6 years ago.

Senior Associate Athletic Director at the University of Oregon, Mike Duncan, said, “It was a special night that fans who attended still talk about. We’re beyond thrilled to host Sir Elton again in Eugene.
