Congressman McCarthy talks taxes, North Korea and more

House Majority Leader and local Rep. Kevin McCarthy joined Eyewitness News on Friday night to talk about the assorted happenings in Washington.

The congressman answered questions regarding the expected passage of the GOP's latest tax bill and rumors House Speaker Paul Ryan was planning a 2018 exit.

McCarthy also spoke on the results of Alabama's recent special election.

"I wasn't surprised by the outcome, based on who the candidate was," McCarthy said. "Roy Moore should've stepped aside."
