'MoDucks' campaign supports Oregon cancer patients
EUGENE, Ore. - The University of Oregon Duck Store is selling new apparel to support the Grow Your Mo campaign through the month of November.
One popular item from the clothing line is the "MoDucks" t-shirt.
This is the second year the Duck Store has made a Movember shirt. A dollar from the sale of each t-shirt benefits the Oregon Cancer Foundation's financial assistance program.
In addition to the sale, there is also a social media fundraiser going on this year. Every game day for the rest of the month, the store will donate $1 for every employee that wears or sports a mustache for the event.
"Everybody loves mustaches and so there has been a lot of interest in the shirts. We've seen quite a few students coming in and looking at them, purchasing them, and community members as well. You know, everybody's a Duck fan in Eugene, so it's really easy for people to get into it," said Caitlin Estes, public relations specialist for the Duck Store.
All fans need to do is post a picture to social media using #MoDucks.
KMTR's Anthony Kustura is also participating in the Grow Your Mo challenge. You can vote for Anthony and his facial hair by clicking here. Every vote costs $1 and the funds benefit cancer patients in Oregon.
